“Shabby Chic” One Day Workshop:      Saturday 10.00 am  –  4.00 pm

Shabby Chic is inspired by French and Italian interior design styles.  Learn how to distress, apply texture and transfer images onto your piece of furniture.  Bring a small piece of furniture.

Sewing With Confidence:   7.00 – 9.00 pm (6 or 8 weeks)

For beginners to experienced sewers. Improve your confidence in using the sewing machine, over-locker, choosing patterns and fabrics.

Drawing For All Levels:   Thursday 6.30 – 9.00 pm (6 weeks)                                    NEW

For beginners through to experienced students. You will explore various drawing approaches with a range of media to develop your observational and expressive skills.

Painting For All Levels:   Monday 6.30 – 9.00 pm (6 weeks)

A fun and relaxed painting class for the beginner through to the experienced artist. Choose your medium to paint in (eg: acrylics, oils or watercolours). Each session will begin with a short introduction on a different subject (eg: colour theory, values, perspective, figures, composition, painting from live vs. photograph). Then the lesson will continue “one on one” to further develop and explore your own subject and style. Paint from a still life or your photograph.

Flax Weaving:        Weekend two day workshop     9.30 am – 4.30 pm

Creative, hands-on flax weaving weekend for beginner and intermediate weavers. Beginners will create three small weavings during the weekend, intermediate weavers with previous experience will create one larger kete or backpack.

The workshop will include instruction about flax preparation and harvesting. Come and enjoy learning some new skills, and be happily surprised at how much you can achieve.

The Art of Improvisation (Flying by the seat of your pants):   Wednesday 6.30 – 8.00 pm (8 weeks)    NEW

If anxiety holds you back at work and your mind goes blank when talking to a group, then this course could make all the difference. Both terrifying and thrilling, you’ll gradually step outside your comfort zone in a safe space using improv techniques as well as learning about the physiology of fear. As well as being addictive and great fun, you’ll develop confidence, face your anxiety and learn to use your true voice. Suitable for anyone who’s job requires them to think on the spot.

Knitting For All Levels:   Thursday 7.00 – 9.00 pm (6 weeks)                                  NEW

For beginners and all skill levels. Beginners will learn a new skill and take away your own hand-made fingerless gloves, others will work on your own project with tutor support for trouble shooting.  Bring your own materials.

Life Writing:   Thursday 5.30 – 7.30 pm (8 weeks)

Enjoy creative writing again! Find the heroes in your world and bring them to life. Gather some new writing strategies and learn to critique your work like a pro. All with a group of budding writers at your side.
