Are you New Zealand’s next big entrepreneur? Do you want to improve your team working skills? Would you like to get a taste of the business world? Why not take part in the BP Business Challenge.
The BP Business Challenge is a three-day practical workshop for year 11 students. It introduces students to the world of business in a fun and engaging way. Students work in teams to create a new product and devise a business plan to bring their idea to market. They pitch to local judges on the afternoon of Thursday 15 February, 2018.
The BP Business Challenge is offered to more than 45 schools throughout New Zealand each year. The programme is run by Young Enterprise Trust, a charity which is encouraging and developing New Zealand’s next generation of entrepreneurs and business people. BP is the major sponsor of the programme and the David Levene Foundation, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, University of Otago and Xero are supporting sponsors.
The challenge is run by two facilitators who bring with them practical business experience along with a background in teaching and coaching young people.
Sign up at the J block office.
Local media will attend and see students pitching their idea on Thursday 15 February anytime between 1.20 and 2.30pm. The winning team will be announced at approximately 3pm on the day.
